Bearcats start season strong at Morro Bay

PRHS Cross Country scores high among 28 competing schools

The PRHS Cross Country team competed in the Morro Bay Invitational meet against 28 other teams on Sept. 9, coming back with eight individuals in the top 15 of their races. These runners included Freshmen Alejandro Ruiz, Jason Scruggs, Grace Chamberlain, and Madi Loff, Sophomores Damian Galivan and Michael Hernandez, and Juniors Pablo Cortez and  Steven Scruggs. Overall, the freshman/sophomore boys team came in second with 57 points, while the freshman/sophomore and junior/senior girls both came in third with 127 and 122 points, respectively. The junior/senior boys came in eighth with a total of 317 points. The entire team will next compete at Clovis West Invitational at Woodward Park, Fresno on Sept 29.
