Bearcats take a win and loss against the Galena Grizzlies

The varsity baseball team hosted a double header against Galena High School on Thursday March 9. The Bearcats fell in the first game 1-3, but picked up momentum in the fifth inning when freshman Hunter Barnhart scored for PRHS. Junior Brad Tews started on the mound for the Bearcats and senior Mark Armstrong led off the batting lineup. In the second game, Bearcats beat Galena 6-0 making a comeback against the Grizzles. Sophomore Ryan Harvel pitched the first three innings striking out two players while senior Nolan Binkele pitched the last four striking out seven. Sophomore Reese Brumley  made it home twice with players seniors Seth Matthysse and Matthew Horne and juniors Will Stroud and Wyatt Gidcumb, and running home as well.

Bearcats will be playing home against Redwood on Friday, March 17.
