The girl’s basketball team put up a strong fight against Arroyo Grande, but ultimately lost 18 to 51 on Wednesday, January 11. In the first quarter, a total of three baskets were made on the bearcat side. Junior Sydney Meneses, Senior Shannen Dodds, and Senior Cece Ramirez each made one basket in the quarter. By halftime, the score was six to 31, with the Bearcats 25 points behind. Other scorers included Sophmore Jayden Loewen, Junior Aleah Barrientes, and Senior Bailey Lewis. By the end of the game, the team faced a 33 point loss, but still held hope for games to come. So far this season, the team has won 3 games and lost 2.
