Erica Quintor, representative from UC Berkeley‘s freshman admissions, presented in Bearcat Hall on September 14th.

The one hour presentation consisted of application tips such as how to apply and what to expect in applications.

Quintor spoke about how Berkeley has been the #1 public university for the past 10 years, and that it’s the oldest in the state— founded in 1868.

“I tell prospective students who are touring the college to look at the walls. Look at the flyers, the art, the posters. You can really see the culture of the campus from how we decorate our walls,” said Quintor on Berkeley’s atmosphere.

As of 2016, UC Berkeley had a 17.5% acceptance rate with more than 13,000 freshman applications per year.
