Nine students will be attending a Q&A with the author of Cuesta College’s Book of the Year, “The Barbarian Nurseries.” They read the book, had a discussion group meeting, and now they get to meet the author, Hector Tobar and have their books autographed.

Tobar is an author and journalist and is the author of four books including the critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller “Deep Down Dark:The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine and the Miracle That Set Them Free” and the movie “33” was based on his novel. Tobar also contributed to the LA Times Pulitzer Prize winning coverage of the LA riots of 1992.
